I am taking Sharon B's Encrusted crazy quilt class at Joggles.com and it started today.

I am also working on my Blue color STudy block on the CQfor newbies group.

I will be back and show pictures of my work as soon as it is ready.

There is not enough hours in the day to do all I want to.

Happy sewing and God Bless!!!

Coasters for Darling Grandson's room

This is darling grandson and the coasters I made for his nightstand. His room is done in construction vehicles. He loves guns and anything with wheels. I would say he is all boy but his favorite color is pink.

Stashbuster challenge

This is my block of the month blocks that I did in 2008 with my HGTV message board group.

I have no idea how I want to put them together but I want to do it this week for my HGTV stashbuter challenge. Any suggestions?

Monday blues

This is the back side of a quilt I quilted for a friend of mine that lives in Oklahoma. Her grandmother died and all the kids got together to close down her house. They found several old quilt tops and divided them up. This one is made from recycled corduroy.
The next photo is the front. I really like the feel of this quilt when it was finished. Really "snuggly"

I found my camera and this is a photo of the baby quilt I posted about earlier.

The weekend is over. I have been cleaning up my sewing room after pulling out all my beads, threads, buttons, fibers, threads, etc getting ready for the blue color study with my cqfor newbies group.

Busy Busy weekend

I cleaned house all day yesterday so I can have all week to sew and get ready for my my crazy quilt class with Sharon B at Joggles.

Welcome to my blog Ruby and I hope you enjoy your stay. I hope you can leave a comment. I am new to this blogging and I do not know if I have my blog set up so as you can leave a comment. I will check that out and see.

I have been sorting thru all my lace, buttons, beads, trim, fibers, and all the fabrics for my cq class and the Blue Color Study RR with the crazy quilting for newbies challenge. My sewing studio looks like Hurricane Camille hit it.

Tomorrow is my favorite SIL's birthday and I will have to bake him a cake so it will be Tuesday before I will get out there to work on it.

I quilted a baby quilt for my cousins daughter who is expecting a baby any day now. The Doctors tell them that the baby has a hole in its heart and it will have to be flown to Atlanta as soon as it is born and have surgery. Please lift them up to the Lord in your prayers.
The quilt turned out really cute. It was a premade top that my Aunt (babies Grandma) purchased at Hobby Lobby. I quilted it with a design from Ellen Munich's quiltrecipe from www.quiltrecipe.com. The pattern was kd1026_baby stuff meander. It is a meandering stitch with bottles, rattles, pacifers, bibs, and diaper pins in it. It turned out really cute.
My camera is out in the sewing studio covered up in all that mess so it will be Tuesday before I post a picture.

RECENT FINISHED PROJECTS

These two quilts were quilted for Royalboomer from my HGTV message board. We did a "Quilting for Ike" relief fundraiser for the people in south Texas after the storms last year.

For every quilt that was quilted a $50 donation was sent to the Ike releif fund.

GOOD NEWS

I found out this weekend I am going to be another grandma. My son recently married in November has wasted no time. It will be due in September.

Thanksgiving and Christmas came and went and I was sick with a stomach virus and the flu for three weeks in January so I know you can relate when I say my blog has gone by the wayside. I guess I started it at the busiest time of the year.

I will try to do better and post more pictures for you to look at.

I am really new to this so bear with me.
